TRYPPER - Remotely controlled vehicle.
PISTOIA, Dec. 28 A new, remotely controllable rescue vehicle is available to firefighters in Tuscany. It is Trypper, an innovative tracked robot that will allow, it is explained by the regional fire brigade command, to carry out different types of interventions ensuring greater safety for the operator.
Trypper can be used for fires, especially if in the presence of cylinders or hazardous substances, for remote monitoring with thermal imaging camera and otherwise, for inspections in places that have suffered structural damage, traffic accidents in which vehicles with hazardous or flammable loads are involved. It is also capable of carrying stretcher, equipment or material weighing up to 250 kilograms.
The new vehicle has been assigned to the provincial commands of Pistoia and Arezzo. The Tuscany regional directorate of Fire Brigades then, at the request of the individual provincial operations rooms, will arrange for the activation of the robot closest to the location of the intervention to be carried out.
